The World
Organization for the preservation of
the holy Places calls on all sincere
Muslim rights to observe this
painful anniversary. This was the
day when the sanctity of the prophet
Mohammad (SAWA) and his companions
were disgracefully attacked. |
|
It was regarded
as an assault on the Muslim people. Such
serious infringement and other similar ones
were carried out on the orders of autocratic
rulers many years ago in more then one holy
site but on different occasions. The most
important of these sites were in the holy city
Mecca and the Baqee cemetery in Medina in
Saudi Arabia and holy shrines of Muslim
leaders (Imams) in Iraq.
Since 1989, our
organization has appealed and will continued
to do so for action to restore all the damaged
holy places in various parts of the world.
Many of these shrines were completely
destroyed by hostile and malicious elements
while others were deliberately neglected.
There are few other holy sites that are at the
mercy of authorities in various locations,
control its running and deter Muslims from
performing their worships. Furthermore, they
attempt to extinguish the brilliance of these
holy shrines and stop the Muslims from being
attached to it. But Allah will not allow but
that His light should be perfected ( AL-TAWBA
32).
In view of the
historical and religious importance of this
sad day, the World Organization for the
Preservation of the holy places declares this
day to be a World Heritage Day. We seek the
support of all those concerned and plead with
Muslims all over the World to commemorate this
sad occasion by appealing to the authorities
in charge to restore these holy shrines. We
also plead with the international organization
to intervene on our behalf to achieve this
objective
